Tomato Cart is a new open source shopping cart based on OSCommerce. It tries to offer a much better user experience, as well as a better admin back end. TomatoCart supports sales of both physicals and virtual goods ( for example E-books and other downloads), and they are arranged in terms of quantity, images, description, attribute and variant.

We all know and love Firefox. If you use Firefox, especially for web design/developement, you know that there are some very nice Firefox plugins to help you with your productivity. Most of you will know Firebug, mentioned in an earlier post on this blog. Firebug is perfect if you want quick access to the code in any page. You can target any element to see the markup, the CSS, the layout, and the DOM in an instant. Firebug is much loved by many designers. But Firebug isn’t the only tool that Firefox has up it’s sleeve. There are several more that most people don’t even know about.
Cross-browser compatibility is still one of the most complex issues when it comes to web-development. Web standards usually guarantee a high degree of consistency, however no browser is perfect and particularly older browsers have always been quite good at surprising web-developers with their creative understanding of (X)HTML/CSS-code. You still need to make sure that your design displays correctly in at least the most popular browsers out there today.
If you don’t know already Firebug is a Firefox extension for web designers and developers. You are able to target any element on a page to see the markup, the CSS, the layout, and the DOM in an instant. It is truly an essential component to have and it has saved me countless times when trying to debug a website.
